The bachelor thesis focuses on the description of selected theoretical aspects concerning the Act on assembling the citizens under conditions of the Slovak Republic. It deals with the legal basis as well as with the fundamental principles of formation, creation and basic functioning of civil associations, and also about the cancellation and demise of them. The thesis also classifies the potential options of inquiring funds in civil associations operating under to the terms of the Slovak Republic. Concerning the specific civil association, which deals with the folklore and culture, we described how similar civil associations acquire their financial resources to fund the activities of the association.
