The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the innovation paradox of socially responsible innovations. We focused primarily on socially responsible innovations in the field of building constructions and we looked at the paradox of these innovations. In the theoretical part, we dealt with the characteristics of the basic terms in regard to innovations. In the first part we focused on the history and definitions of innovations, their classifications and their relation to the sustainable growth. We also characterized the concept of the innovation paradox and socially responsible business activities related to innovations as well as socially responsible innovations. In the practical part, we analyzed the investigated objects which were the individual types of buildings with a focus on masonry and assembled wooden constructions. Subsequently, a questionnaire was constructed based on the Kano model, using which we identified the innovative paradox of socially responsible innovations of prefabricated wooden structures and we found out what had caused this.
