Financial analysis is a really helpful aid, which enables the health of the company to be assessed. Financial analysis provides information’s which helps managers with rational decision-making using a set of indicators. In addition to quantification, financial indicators need to be interpreted correctly and find a link between them. On the basis of the information thus obtained, appropriate measures can be taken to improve the financial situation of the company, strengthen its market position and adopt financial plans. In the theoretical part, the thesis characterizes the national economy, forestry and its access to financing of financial management, financial goals and access to financial and economic analysis. In the application section, using the tools of financial and economic analysis, we analyzed the achieved results of forestry enterprises and subsequently evaluated them using the classic Quick Test. Using the results obtained, we have designed a modified Quick Test that reflects the specifics of the selected group of business entities. Testing the modified model has demonstrated the need for an individual approach to business valuation, taking into account the specific characteristics of the industry.
