Diploma thesis is focused on theme „Local taxes in the budget of the municipality (the city)“. A theoretical part of work is focused on the characteristics of the taxes, local taxes and fees, budget and financially government. The practical part follows on the theoretical part. In the practical part of work we presented the municipality Horná Ves, we described its history and its present. After analyzed the tax and non – tax revenues of the municipality and we evaluated local taxes and the acquisition of income in village, which we displayed graphically. In conclusion of diploma thesis, we evaluated the results achieved in the acquisition of the village.
