The bachelor thesis is focused on the application of control in forestry enterprises in the conditions of the Slovak Republic. It explains the concept of controlling and financial control in general, the role it plays in the business, its advantages and weaknesses. It deals with the question of application of control in selected forest management enterprises. The survey was carried out in the form of questionnaires sent to companies and the results were evaluated in graphical form. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical knowledge of the tackled issues. It characterizes controlling in general, focusing on history, functions, tasks and organizational arrangements from the perspective of several domestic and foreign authors. It also defines the area of financial control. The second chapter defines the objectives, methods and methodical workflow. The final third chapter analyses the results and provides a comprehensive view of the issue.
