Submitted dissertation thesis presents our own research results from the chainsaw athwart cutting field. The issue preview of the thesis engaging of this problem was set. After elaborating the theoretical analysis of the chainsaw mechanisms, we have conjectured the material and designed the methodology, which is consisting from two parts - experimental and laboratoral. On the base of the measured datas, we have statistic evaluated the effects of the single factors. At the laboratory measuring, we aimed to the cutting mechanisms energy intensity from the Husqvarna XP 550 and Stihl MS 261 chainsaws. The factors (type of the cutting mechanisms, ground wood, cutting and feeding velocity, chain and chain partition) which effect .was evaluating to format of the power were set. Statistical evaluating of the laboratoral part was split to the three groups, from the reason, that it was not possible to cosider some interactions of the chosen factors as the: chain and the cutting mechanism type, or chain and chain partition. On the base of statistical evaluation, we found out that the Husquarna cutting mechanism, where the average value of power were 633,82 W, has lower energetical demand that the Stihl cutting mechanism, where the average value was743,081 W. Following the results of the first factor group analysis, we found out that the biggest average of power P=1135,848 W was at the combination of factors ground wood (BK), feeding velocity (vf=0,857 m.min-1), cutting velocity (vc=6,806 m.s-1) and chain partition (.325). The lowest average of power P=339,799 W was ant the combination of factors ground wood (SM), feeding velocity (vf=0, 286 m.min-1), cutting velocity (vc=5,023 m.s-1) and chain partition (.325). From the second factor group for analysis, we can allege that the lowest energy intensity was at the Husquarna cutting mechanism type and chain partition 3/8. Reversaly, the biggest average values of power was at the Stihl cutting mechanism type and chain partition .325. For the third group factor combination, was the highest average value of power P=1586,848 W - ground wood (BK), feeding velocity (vf=0,857 m.min-1), cutting velocity (vc=6,806 m.s-1) and chain (RD1). The lowest average value of power P=311,762 W - ground wood (SM), feeding velocity (vf=0,0,286 m.min-1), cutting velocity (vc=5,023 m.s-1) a chain (73LPX). From the total aspect, based on the results, we can allege, that the Husquarna cutting mechanism has lower energy intensity than Stihl cutting mechanism. From the experimental data, results how the oil affects the cutting proces. The lowest amount of decrease from thee used oils of brand Bipol, Stihl and Dolmar, has the oil of brand Dolmar. At ranking the of grease oils on the base of temperature, the most effective has displays a Bipol oil, where the temperature average value was the lowest (T=103° C), obversely, the highest temperature was at the Dolmar oil (T=153°C).
