Damages of coniferous cultures have a big impact for future production and qualitativeevaluation of wood assortments. Currently are coniferous forest stands which wereartificially created with non- original additives and inferior ecotypes, are often attactedwith biotics harmful agents. Main topic of our diploma theses we have determined toevaluate damages of coniferous cultures and increasing of biological harmful agents. Wefocus on all biological pests located at control areas. Our research was aplicated on areaswhere main woody composition was made by firs, spruces and pines seedlings. Inpractical part of our diploma we focused on areas where was coppice with woody fromnatural shrinking. We choose two coppice with similar ecological conditions, eachcoppice we split to three separate areas. first area were reconsidered with coniferousculture from artificial restoration, second area was reconsidered from natural restoration.areas were located on territory of mestske lesy dobšiná, in national park Slovenský Rajand area of Volovské vrchy. Target of our diploma were to find out biggest spectrum ofbiological pests, choose pests with largest representation, which have make largest parton damages of coppice. Last part of our diploma work was to compare our results fromtwo researched areas .
